On 30 September 2014 Waipa District Council approved, pursuant to pursuant to the Waipa District Public Places Liquor Control Bylaw 2008 and the Local Government Act 2002, temporary liquor bans on the Mighty River Domain, Lake Karapiro (excluding the Don Rowlands Centre and any leased facilities) on the dates  listed below, at the times 12.01am to 5pm and 9pm to 11.59pm daily, other than where alternate times are specifically indicated.


1, 8-9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 November 2014

12-14, 24-25, 31 December 2014

1, 12-17, 23-25 January 2015

30 January 20151 February 2015 (ban applies 12.01am to 11.59pm daily)

6-8, 13-15, 17-19, 21-22 February 2015

1-5, 6-8, 21-29 March 2015

11-13, 14-18 April 2015


Any person who is in possession of liquor at that place during those times as listed above commits an offence.
