Small Tent
The Mighty River Domain has 60 powered and 80 non powered sites. We welcome tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. These sites can be hired individually or in blocks during events and non-event times.
Pricing
Powered site: Adults $22.00 per person per night
Child (12 and under) $17.00 per person per night
Non powered site: Adults $20.00 per person per night
Child (12 and under) $17.00 per person per night
*Minimum charge of 3 adults per site per night during events. Please check our event calendar for key event dates.
Site Amenities
Two amenity blocks with toilets and showers
A kitchen with two ovens, a single chest freezer, a double door fridge, a hot water unit and four sinks
A laundry facility is located on site, laundry costs are $4 per load
A dump station and plenty of water taps for refilling tanks
Only basic camping facilities are provided. You will need to bring all your cooking equipment and linen, and everything else that is required for an enjoyable camping experience.
Each site is 7x8 Metre. All your belongings (including vehicles, awnings etc) MUST be within the allocated site space. If you require additional space, please book an extra site.
A single sites accommodate one large or two small tents (see picture) plus a car. Extra Large tents such as marquees (see picture) will not accommodate a car on the same site so another site would need to be booked. Caravans, campervans and motorhomes will be dependent on the size.
Electricity can only be connected through an approved isolating transformer or RCD Safety switch. Caravans must have current electrical warrant of fitness and comply with LPG gas regulations.
Please cover all your tent pegs to ensure safety for all guests.
Marquees over 100m2 will require a building consent from Waipa District Council. Please contact the council directly for this consent. It will be necessary to provide the Mighty River Domain site office with certificates of compliance for all temporary structures.
Our quiet time for all accommodation Is between 8pm and 7am
